The decision was made early on to concentrate on quality and excellent design – to make Marabou truly special. The assembled design team represents the best in the American West. Without blinking an eye the developer completed all infrastructure, utilities, water system, trails, river restoration, all community buildings and even new fencing. At the same time a world-class association manager and staff were put in place. Marabou stands alone at the top of ranch preservation communities.

Experience Counts
Elk River Partners managing partner Jeff Temple has spent a decade creating environmentally sensitive living communities throughout Colorado including Storm Mountain Ranch in Steamboat Springs, winner of the Governor's Smart Growth Award. Mark Hall and Jeff Jepson, partners, have developed more than 10,000 acres of master-planned communities in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Our Roots Run Deep
Managing partner Jeff Temple is a fourth-generation Steamboat Springs native. His father, Jim Temple, founded the Steamboat Ski Resort, and was inducted into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 2006. His great grandfather is F.M. Light, who founded F.M. Light and
Sons, the first western mercantile store in Steamboat Springs. Established in 1905, the store is still family-run today.

Marabou is proud to have been awarded "Sustainable Business of the Year" by the Steamboat
Chamber of Commerce in 2007. We cherish the land and respect the environment, and we are committed to green building and continued agricultural production on the land.
